Each connection on the Internet has a unique identifying number called an IP (internet protocol) address.

What is the difference between NAT and non-NAT?

NAT configuration offers one single IP address whereas non-NAT offers groups of IP’s. The first and last IP in each range is unusable so when confirming how many IP addresses you need this will have to be taken into consideration.

I currently have a Demon Home Office service. Can I have more than one IP address?

Demon Home Office services are currently only offered with NAT configuration. If you would like a non-NAT configuration we do offer this with our Demon Business range products. You can arrange to re-grade your connection by contacting our dedicated Demon Sales team on 0800 027 3737 or by emailing salesenquiries@thus.net.

It will take approximately 48 hours to re-grade your service however we will send a notification email once the amendment has completed.

I currently have a Demon Business range service and wish to reduce / increase the number of IP addressed currently allocated to me. How can I arrange this?

Our dedicated Demon Sales team can place a re-grade request for you should you wish to increase or reduce the number of IP arranges you currently have. However, given the limited number of IP addresses we do ask our customers to provide us with justification for their requirement.

Please also note that it is not be possible to retain your existing IP address / range when amending your allocation due to the automated nature of IP allocation.

If I require additional or less IP addresses and I place a re-grade request with your Sales team, will I experience downtime while the re-grade is completed?

Your service will remaining connected under its existing settings until the re-grade has completed, at which point you will be required to disconnect in order to connect with the new information.
